About The Position

The Guest Engagement Strategist is a strategic advisor to PAR’s restaurant brand customers and a valued advisor to our internal teams. Reporting to the head of the Guest Engagement Strategy practice, this client-facing role owns consulting engagements focused on loyalty program and campaign strategy optimization for small and mid-size brands, and plays a key role on more complex engagements, such as full program designs and restructures. Strategy at PAR sits at the intersection of business consulting and product know-how. You’ll build deep knowledge of Punchh and how it connects with the rest of a restaurant’s tech stack — POS, online ordering, payments, and third-party tools — and learn to explain those connections clearly to clients. You’ll work closely with other PAR teams — Sales, Product, Implementation, Managed Services, and Customer Success — to deliver real business results for PAR’s customers (growth in guest participation, revenue, and profitability). The ideal candidate combines sharp analytical thinking with polished client communication skills, and a desire to grow into a senior advisory role over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years in customer experience, loyalty, CRM, or digital marketing strategy
  • Exposure to loyalty or CRM programs for restaurant or other consumer brands
  • Hands-on experience with campaign management (including major CRM/ESP platforms such as Salesforce, Braze, Klaviyo, etc.), consumer segmentation, and performance analysis
  • Comfort learning technical concepts — integrations, data flows, platform configuration — and explaining them to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of fundamental financial and accounting concepts and comfort using financial terminology to communicate ideas and analysis
  • Enthusiasm for using AI tools to accelerate your work — paired with the discipline to check the output against your own analysis
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across functions and working directly with clients or business partners
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (heavy use on a daily basis): Excel: analysis, modeling, reporting; PowerPoint: building polished, professional presentations; Word/Outlook: professional communication and documentation
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills — able to juggle multiple accounts and projects
  • Strong presentation and communication skills — comfortable presenting to stakeholders at all levels
  • Team-player mindset — willing to jump in and help when needed, while balancing individual and team priorities
  • Coachability — open to feedback and eager to grow within the role

  • Prior consulting or agency background
  • Familiarity with loyalty software platforms (Punchh, Paytronix, Session M, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CRM/ESP/SMS platforms (Braze, Klaviyo, Attentive, etc.)
  • Experience with POS, online ordering, CDP, or other marketing technology applications

  • Monitor client program performance, analyze guest behavior and segmentation, and identify opportunities to improve engagement, retention, and ROI.
  • Stay on top of market trends in guest engagement and loyalty.
  • Build working knowledge of how Punchh integrates with POS systems, online ordering providers, payments, ESPs, CDPs, and third-party apps.
  • Help clients understand how the capabilities and constraints of their technology stack (PAR and third-party products) affect guest experience and loyalty strategy, and guide how it should evolve to meet future business objectives.
  • Develop automated and targeted marketing campaigns to maximize guest engagement across loyalty, CRM, and SMS channels.
  • Provide analysis of and recommendations on guest segmentation, targeting, and testing to improve campaign performance.
  • Partner with PAR Managed Services to ensure campaign execution achieves client business objectives.
