About The Position

This role is for an On-Demand Team Member (TM) at Target, specifically in a Small Format Store. As an On-Demand TM, you will have the flexibility to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. You will not be on the posted weekly schedule but will have the opportunity to work as much or as little as you like, with the requirement to pick up and work shifts at least once every four weeks. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when you choose to pick up a shift. Active engagement, including responding to contact attempts to confirm interest in working shifts, is critical. If you do not respond to contact attempts, your employment may be terminated. Employment will be administratively terminated if you do not work at least one shift within five months. Upon being offered a position, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a short-term structured training schedule. The Small Format Team Member role focuses on enabling a consistent guest experience by ensuring product availability, accurate pricing, and proper sales floor presentation. You will be a service, operations, process, and efficiency expert, proficient in all areas of the store, including cashiering, stocking, and presentation. You will provide exceptional guest service, customizing experiences and anticipating needs. This role offers meaningful experiences to build and develop skills for a career in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, pricing and promotion strategies, inventory management, and process efficiency. You will support daily/weekly workloads to meet business priorities and sales goals.

Flexibility when picking up shifts (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) to help meet store needs.
Active engagement by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our attempts at contact. You must work at least one shift within 5 months or you will be administratively terminated.
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

Responsibilities

Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience.

Help guests as you complete workload with minimal guest disruption.
Work in all departments to ensure sales floor is full, zoned and in stock for guests.
Assist with truck unload process and stock product to the sales floor.
Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions and sales plans for all departments.
Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately for all departments.
Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
Support execution of major transitions.
Maintain interior and exterior brand, including emptying garbage cans and attending to restroom cleanliness, collecting carts, charging electronic carts, recycling (if applicable) and attending to spills throughout the store as needed.
Accurately execute all Fills (i.e., fill the floor, liability fills, and guest requests and backstock product from all departments.
Process all inbound deliveries (using the receive application) to ensure inventory accuracy.
Complete all backroom weekly audits.
Operate power equipment only if certified.
Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy and follow equipment guidelines.
Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress and accurately prioritize tasks.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
