About The Position
This is a seasonal role at Target, focusing on various guest-facing and operational aspects of the store. The position involves helping guests discover the joy of everyday life through Target's values and culture. Seasonal roles offer opportunities to gain knowledge in guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals (department sales trends, inventory management, process efficiency), and executing daily/weekly workloads to meet business priorities and sales goals. The work environment is described as fun and energetic, with a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction. The role is not a typical Monday-through-Friday desk job, as the store is busy throughout the week, especially on weekends, requiring a focus on making guests feel welcomed, inspired, and rewarded.
Requirements
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members

- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) and regular attendance necessary
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations.
- Welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery.
- Ensure product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.
- Handle cash register operations accurately.
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds.
