About The Position

Long® Fence is seeking an experienced Guardrail Installer with a valid CDL to join its team based out of Ijamsville, Maryland. The role installs and repairs highway guardrail systems and safely operates heavy trucks and equipment in active, high-traffic work zones. It involves physically demanding work, outdoor conditions, and adherence to high safety standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; occasional, project-specific night shifts may be assigned. Candidates must be able to commute to the office daily and pass a pre-employment drug test, including testing for marijuana. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted because the company is a federal contractor.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience in construction, roadway work, or guardrail installation.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds regularly.
Ability to work outdoors in varying and adverse weather conditions.
Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to commute to the office daily.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test, which includes marijuana; medical marijuana cards are not accepted.

Responsibilities

Install and repair highway guardrail systems in accordance with company and industry standards.
Operate commercial vehicles and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Work in high-traffic environments while adhering to safety protocols.
Load, unload, and transport materials to and from job sites.
Perform general labor duties as needed to support project completion.
