About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a security officer to provide access control and patrol services in Puerto Rico. The role serves customers across a variety of industries, including retail stores, factories, shopping centers, pharmaceutical companies, and corporate campuses. Officers provide customer service while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency-response activities when applicable. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position is full-time with rotating schedules and weekly itineraries, and pays $11.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Be available for rotating schedules and weekly itineraries.
• Be fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English; English is required for bilingual positions.
• Possess a valid Puerto Rico driver's license.
• Have customer-service skills.
• Be available for credentialing processes and training.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, drug screening.
• Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security and protection procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency-response activities when applicable.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations and use problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Receive and direct employees and/or visitors in reception areas according to establishment rules and assigned post orders.
