About The Position

This position is with Gulfstream University at the Technical Training Center (TTC) and will be supporting Compliance, Structures and Avionics training. The role involves facilitating courses in assigned areas of expertise, including technical, regulatory, safety, or manufacturing. The specialist will also be involved in training design and enhancements, acting as an internal consultant on training issues and partnering with the Instructional Design team. The position supports training at all Gulfstream facilities and requires coordination with supervisors, business units, vendors, and consultants to ensure training needs are met and courses are kept current with product changes and corporate strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 8 years experience in aviation industry to include at least 3 years of training experience.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within field.
  • Must exhibit good organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and team building skills.
  • Skilled user of MS Office products.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Compliance, Structures and Avionics training.
  • Repair Station, Completions operations, Manufacturing or Military experience related to aviation/aerospace.
  • Knowledgeable in Safety Regulations, Aircraft Maintenance or Production documentation softwares, and Learning Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and virtual training experience.
  • Relative Gulfstream experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct classroom and practical training to support Manufacturing and Repair Stations in the build, maintenance, and repair of Gulfstream aircraft, including structures, avionics, composites, torque, Click Bond, Permaswage, regulatory and safety training.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, CAAC, OSHA, EPA, etc., and provide computer software training as requested at all GAC facilities.
  • Act as an internal consultant on training issues within the area of expertise (technical, regulatory, safety, or manufacturing).
  • Partner with the Instructional Design team to support training needs analyses and strategies to meet identified needs and corporate objectives.
  • Interface with team members to ensure comprehensive and timely responses to training issues.
  • Coordinate training functions with the supervisor.
  • Assist in establishing and assigning training schedules and monitor student progress to ensure course completion dates are met.
  • Work with other instructors on projects to ensure training development meets established milestones and department standards.
  • Coordinate with various business units, vendors, and consultants to identify materials needed for training course development and implementation.
  • Interface with business units to ensure the training department is knowledgeable of product changes or modifications and incorporates them into new or existing training programs.
  • Maintain lines of communication across the organization to encourage the flow of information needed to keep courses current.
  • Revise course content to reflect changes in processes, procedures, and corporate issues and strategy.
  • Mentor Training Instructors and aid in the development of their skills and abilities.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and training facilities are maintained in an orderly and professional manner.
  • Cross-train to teach other training courses on an as-needed basis.
  • Promote and ensure a safe training environment.
  • Travel as necessary to conduct training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
