About The Position

As a GTS Logistics Coordinator, you play a critical role in ensuring flawless execution of service parts order fulfillment, logistics operations, export compliance, and customer support activities. This position supports global internal customers, international affiliates, field service teams, and cross-functional partners to enable high service levels and operational excellence across the end-to-end service supply chain. You will manage international and domestic shipments, assist with urgent service escalations, support reverse logistics workflows, ensure compliance with regulatory documentation requirements, and drive continuous improvement in warehouse and distribution processes. This will be an onsite position based out of our Lake Forest. Distribution Center

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (High School + 8 years; Associate + 4 years).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Strong customer orientation and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, customer service, international shipping, or related fields preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), logistics documentation, and international trade fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage customer orders, service parts requests, and intercompany transfers using relevant ERP and planning systems.
  • Perform manual order entry, inbound system bookings, and order confirmations with high accuracy and within required cycle times.
  • Provide timely, accurate responses to customer inquiries on order status, availability, shipping schedules, and back orders.
  • Maintain and distribute open order reports to affiliates and stakeholders.
  • Support Urgent Down Customer Requests (UDCR) by validating urgency, coordinating rapid fulfillment, and escalating blockers as needed.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Repair Center, ESC, and Warehouse operations to resolve issues that affect customer experience or Fill Rate performance.
  • Coordinate international shipments, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements, customs rules, and service-level expectations.
  • Track shipments, investigate exceptions/delays, and proactively communicate updates to impacted stakeholders.
  • Assist in reducing transportation cost-to-serve through effective mode selection, consolidation opportunities, and carrier engagement.
  • Prepare and verify export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS classifications, COO statements, and regulatory declarations.
  • Ensure all outbound international shipments comply with U.S. export regulations (EAR), Alcon policies, and destination-country import requirements.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for controlled materials and support compliance reviews or internal audits.
  • Partner with Global Trade Compliance on resolving documentation discrepancies, denied-party screenings, and customs-related issues.
