Strategy and Operations Associate, GTM

Interplay Learning
•$100,000 - $110,000•Remote

About The Position

Interplay Learning is hiring a GTM Strategy & Operations Associate to own strategic go-to-market initiatives and run the operating rhythm that keeps commercial teams aligned. The role reports to the EVP of Commercial Operations and works across marketing, SDR, sales, and revenue leadership, driving programs across teams without direct reporting authority. This is a hands-on strategy and operations role focused on diagnosing funnel issues, designing solutions, building processes and tools, and driving adoption. The associate will work in Salesforce and HubSpot, use data, AI, and automation to improve commercial operations, and participate in executive decision-making through the weekly revenue leadership meeting. The role is designed to grow into broader strategy and operations leadership. Interplay trains the skilled-trades workforce—including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, facilities, and data center workers—using immersive simulation and AI. The position is remote-first, with Austin or Dallas, Texas-area candidates preferred or commutable.

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in management consulting, strategy and operations, business operations, program management, a chief-of-staff role, or GTM/revenue operations.
  • A track record of driving initiatives through completion and adoption, with a specific end-to-end example to discuss.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools, especially Claude, for analysis, drafting, and automation, with a built example to show.
  • Strong structured problem-solving and executive communication skills, including the ability to turn ambiguous commercial data into clear recommendations and written strategies.
  • Willingness to become a hands-on Salesforce and HubSpot operator within the first 90 days.
  • Ability to drive initiatives and influence people who do not report directly to you.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with executives and sellers, frame problems before solving them, and distinguish leading from lagging signals.
  • Ability to work independently against quarterly objectives, prioritize in a resource-conscious environment, and keep multiple workstreams moving.

Nice To Haves

  • B2B SaaS exposure.
  • Prior Salesforce or HubSpot administrator or power-user experience, including data-model fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional GTM programs from planning through execution and measurement, including ROI and skill-leveling initiatives.
  • Set plans, align owners across teams, track progress, and ensure programs achieve their intended outcomes and are adopted.
  • Drive strategic account sequencing and targeting so marketing and SDR teams focus on the right accounts in the right order.
  • Partner with the EVP of Revenue and SDR leader on territory design, account assignments, top-account planning, and target-list development by segment.
  • Identify where revenue velocity stalls between marketing and sales, design cross-functional solutions, and drive their operational adoption.
  • Use data, AI, and automation to surface insights, improve pipeline and sales-representative performance, and reduce manual work.
  • Build and maintain GTM workflows, reporting, lead-management processes, and campaign processes.
  • Run the weekly revenue leadership meeting as chief of staff to the EVP, including setting the agenda and preparing pre-reads and weekly metrics views.
  • Track pipeline coverage and quality, lead follow-up, representative performance, and progress to target in the weekly metrics view.
  • Capture meeting decisions and actions, assign owners, and drive follow-through to completion.
