9Spokes is a New Zealand-based B2B fintech that provides financial institutions (FIs) and fintechs with a white-label platform to help their SMB customers manage their finances in one place. The platform is embedded directly into a bank's digital channels and combines multi-bank account aggregation, cashflow forecasting, merchant data, business app integrations, and a powerful insights engine. We sell to banks and fintechs in the US and UK markets, and we're building the US market now. You'll be the US-based product expert for our platform. You won't be managing a dev team or running marketing campaigns — we have that covered. Instead, you'll be in prospect meetings telling the product story, shaping how we position the platform for FI buyers, running competitive intelligence, and feeding what you learn back into our NZ-based product team. This is a small, senior team where you'll work directly with the Head of Product, our US and UK sales teams and the CEO to help build our presence in the US and UK banking markets. The GTM Product Specialist will report to the Head of Product and serve as the US-based product expert, focusing on sales engagement, product positioning, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market strategy. This person will understand the platform inside out and articulate its value to FI prospects alongside the sales team, develop clear value stories for different FI personas, and translate northern-hemisphere market requirements back to the NZ-based product team. This will be done in close partnership with sales, marketing, and customer teams, particularly in the US and UK. The ideal candidate brings a mix of product, pre-sales, and market strategy experience, combined with solid knowledge of the US banking landscape, preferably in small business banking.
