About The Position

Workday is looking for a GTM AI Strategist with deep AI and Planning expertise to join our business unit. Your mission is to transform cutting-edge AI capabilities, including LLMs, predictive modeling, and orchestration technology into tangible business value for our customers. As an architect of our AI narrative, you will act as a visionary bridge between technical AI teams and the C-Suite. You will not only provide the strategic vision needed to close complex deals but also innovate on AI-First demonstrations that move beyond basic features to show automated, multi-step planning workflows. You will also capture feedback from early adopters to influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in GTM Strategy, Solution Consulting, or Product Marketing, specifically within the SaaS EPM (Enterprise Performance Planning) or AI space.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts (Generative AI, Predictive Analytics, Orchestration) and their practical application in business environments.
  • A "storyteller" mindset with the ability to make complex, technical AI concepts compelling to C-Suite executives.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority across Product, Sales, and Engineering teams.
  • Experience with Workday or similar enterprise planning ecosystems is a significant plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to experiment and innovate in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think beyond basic LLM productivity use cases to automate complex business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive GTM strategies for AI across all planning products to ensure market differentiation.
  • Act as the AI Subject Matter Expert (SME) during active sales cycles to resolve complex technical and strategic questions.
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineering to build "AI-First" prescriptive demonstrations that showcase integrated, visionary workflows.
  • Serve as the bridge to Workday AI teams outside the Planning BU, translating emerging technologies into relevant planning use cases.
  • Partner with early-adopter customers to co-innovate and feed insights back to Product teams to refine offerings.
  • Innovate on AI orchestration capabilities to automate multi-step planning processes and create seamless user experiences.
  • Proactively learn and apply LLMs, predictive modeling, and orchestration layers to the Adaptive Planning ecosystem.
  • Lead and coordinate enablement efforts for Sales to properly position our AI narrative.
