About The Position

As an AI Strategist, you will serve as a beacon and an expert on enterprise AI tools and current AI developments. You will act as a trusted partner embedded strategically across the enterprise, listening deeply to understand the fundamental problems being solved before making strategic recommendations. You will model what an AI team is by incorporating AI into daily workflows, driving a culture of continuous learning, and consistently identifying opportunities for impact at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within the Arizona Board of Regents system or another public higher education system is preferred.
  • Experience in mission-driven and high-velocity higher education organizations, with increasing responsibility in supporting the adoption of technology to drive meaningful outcomes
  • A deep passion for technology and a daily hunger to continuously learn about new AI developments.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to accomplish tasks, create chatbots, and partnering with teams, individuals, and units to solve their problems
  • Exceptional active listening skills with a "sponge" mentality, ensuring a deep understanding of problems before providing solutions.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for impact at scale and make calculated, well-researched decisions collectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate knowledge sharing without dominating conversations or becoming hyperfocused on details that stall forward progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to model empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge on enterprise AI tools and the latest AI developments, acting as a mover and innovator rather than maintaining the status quo.
  • Leverage AI in routine tasks and contribute ideas for using AI to improve the unit’s efficiency and overall performance.
  • Model AI integration by actively incorporating AI into daily workflows and demonstrating its value to partners.
  • Be embedded as a collaborative partner to build trust, deliver value, and intimately understand partner problems, goals, strategies, and visions.
  • Deliver world-class content, skill-building workshops, and professional development designed to empower rather than just "train."
  • Collect information, collaborate as a collective, and strategically direct traffic to appropriate teams or resources to expertly guide progress and avoid simply saying "no."
  • Take responsibility for fostering a positive culture, upholding organizational values, and championing engagement in all its forms.
  • Collaborate across teams and actively participate in ET/ASU events and programs.
