About The Position

The GTC New Business Specialist position is responsible for processing paperwork for new client accounts. This role involves extensive data entry, coordinating with contrafirms for transfer of funds, and occasional communication with business partners and clients.

Requirements

  • High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
  • Basic: 10-Key, Accounting, Programming Languages, Word Processing/Typing
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
  • Must be detail oriented and able to solve problems
  • Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts that relate to precious metal transactions
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variable in standardized situations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Internet, e-mail and a working knowledge of accounting software

Responsibilities

  • Enter all new IRA data and non-qualified account information into finance software.
  • Processes all incoming transfer, rollover, etc. paperwork for incoming funds.
  • Ensure all client identity verification guidelines are followed per regulations.
  • Communicate with Brokers and clients to address and resolve paperwork issues.
  • Conduct follow-up calls on pending incoming transfers.
  • Perform quality control on newly established accounts and transfer processes.
  • Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
