About The Position

This position is for a Preschool Teacher within the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) at Hemlock Public School District. The role involves teaching preschool students and offers potential leadership opportunities, including supervision of the preschool department, administrative recordkeeping, and recruitment efforts. Depending on skills and interest, the position may include assistant Early Childhood Center (ECC) director responsibilities. The district is looking for an enthusiastic individual committed to creative, child-centered programming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in early childhood education or child development.
  • ZA or ZS endorsement (endorsements issued by the Department of Education in conjunction with a teaching certificate).
  • A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
  • Experience working with early childhood students in a preschool setting.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
  • Capable of building relationships with families and staff and creating a dynamic environment where play and discovery go hand-in-hand.
  • Ability to lead recruitment and enrollment efforts of new families and children in our sites.
  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role.
  • Must be familiar with Early Childhood Curriculum.
  • Ability to use technology with basic proficiency at a minimum.
  • Experience working in a Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) or similar publicly funded preschool program (e.g., Preschool for All), with a strong understanding of state guidelines and compliance requirements.
