About The Position
The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children. We’re looking for a GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high-quality, play-based classroom that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond. As a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, you'll embark on an exciting journey of discovery alongside our little learners. You'll build trusted relationships with families as you provide nurturing care and help children develop their foundation. Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (Or a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with a plan to complete an associate degree)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for nurturing and educating young children
Nice To Haves
- Experience in early childhood education and preschool settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons using an approved GSRP curriculum
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning space
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- Support children’s individual learning needs and encourage their social and emotional growth
