About The Position
The GSRP Pre-K Teacher's Aide supports Lead and Associate Teachers in Michigan’s state-funded Great Start Readiness Program, a Pre-K program for 4-year-olds. The aide helps prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond by contributing to a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment. Duties include supporting classroom routines and daily activities, following licensing, grant, and center guidelines, helping maintain the classroom, and building positive relationships with children.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Passion for helping children learn and grow.
- Dependability, energy, and a collaborative spirit.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
Nice To Haves
- Early childhood coursework or experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom routines and help with daily activities, meals, and transitions.
- Follow licensing, grant, and center guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all children.
- Assist with classroom setup, organization, and maintaining a clean learning space.
- Build positive relationships with children and help implement fun, age-appropriate activities.
