About The Position

The GSOC Analyst will conduct regular monitoring of open-source intelligence, social media platforms, and client-specific intelligence gathering tools for known and potential threats to employees, company assets, and reputation. This role involves monitoring geopolitical events that may impact executive travel, company events, and/or operations, and providing periodic and timely reporting. The analyst will conduct in-depth research on a wide range of issues pertaining to global security, such as terrorism, natural disasters, crime trends, and international politics and economies to understand potential impact to areas where the client has operational interests. The position requires collecting and validating intelligence, assessing the credibility and reliability of open-source information, and producing actionable intelligence products promptly for all incidents, including threat assessments and travel risk assessments. The GSOC Analyst will support the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and client Global Security Management team by providing ongoing news monitoring, leading the use of new Intelligence products, and analyzing existing intelligence tools to provide recommendations for improvement. Maintaining highly sensitive and confidential information is crucial. The role also involves tracking, documenting, and reporting progress on projects and initiatives, communicating with Senior Security Management on matters related to employee welfare, global incidents, operational issues, and critical situations, investigating alarms and responding by dispatching security patrol, site leads, and/or alerting emergency services as needed, and conducting ongoing review of multiple systems and sources to detect potential risks and document these in the form of audits. Additional duties include gathering and preparing reports on individual and team performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience working in intelligence, geopolitical or security-related disciplines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong research skills: ability to intake, evaluate and sift copious quantities of information.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to provide rigorous and creative insight into complex situations.
  • Above average computer skills, with working knowledge of MS Office Tools
  • Familiarity with standard security communication protocols and security tools
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver timely work products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work with highly confidential information regarding all security-related matters.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor geopolitical events that may impact executive travel, company events, and/or operations, and provide periodic and timely reporting.
  • Conduct in-depth research on a wide range of issues pertaining to global security, such as terrorism, natural disasters, crime trends, as well as international politics and economies to understand potential impact to areas where the client has operational interests.

  • Effectively analyze relevant threats and produce actionable intelligence products promptly for all incidents, including but not limited to threat assessments and travel risk assessments.
  • Support the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and client Global Security Management team by providing ongoing news monitoring.
  • Lead the use of new Intelligence products as well as analyze existing intelligence tools to provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Perform other related duties and special project functions as assigned by the client.
  • Track, document, and report progress on projects and initiatives in areas of responsibility.
  • Communicate with Senior Security Management on matters related to employee welfare, global incidents, operational issues, and critical situations.
  • Investigate alarms and respond by dispatching security patrol, site leads, and/or alerting emergency services as needed.
