GSI Alliance Director

CommerceAustin, TX
$156,890 - $276,864

About The Position

Commerce is hiring a GSI Alliance Director to lead and scale high-impact partnerships with Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) such as Accenture, Deloitte, and others. This strategic leadership role drives both data-first partnerships (via Feedo’s data capabilities) and commerce-first partnerships (via BigCommerce’s platform), embedding CMRC solutions into the GSIs’ practices, service/solution offerings, client engagements, and enterprise transformations. You will own executive relationships, co-develop joint GTM strategies, generate pipeline and revenue through sell-with/sell-through motions, and build delivery capabilities across the GSI ecosystem. As a leader, you will manage GSI Partner Managers, expand the team, and establish scalable processes for long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. Success requires deep experience navigating GSI organizations, building practices, and driving measurable business outcomes in cloud, data, commerce, or enterprise software environments.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of experience in strategic alliances, partner sales, channel management, or enterprise GTM roles, with a proven track record in cloud, data, commerce, or enterprise software.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and sustain long-term, trusted relationships with C-level executives, practice leaders, and key influencers inside complex GSI organizations.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of how GSIs (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, etc.) operate - including practice building, go-to-market motions, incentive structures, and client delivery. Prior direct or indirect experience working with or inside major GSIs is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success structuring partnership agreements, driving co-sell programs, enabling partners, and delivering measurable revenue growth through alliances.
  • Strong leadership experience managing teams, influencing cross-functionally, and building scalable programs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive presence skills; ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling business value for both internal and partner stakeholders.
  • Process-oriented with a bias for execution, operational excellence, and long-term relationship building.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally (this is a global role with frequent travel required to engage with GSI leadership and teams across regions).

Nice To Haves

  • Background in data platforms, AI/data practices, or ecommerce/commerce platforms.
  • Experience building or scaling alliance teams and managing senior Partner Managers.
  • Track record of co-developing joint solutions, Centers of Excellence, or industry-specific offerings with GSIs.
  • Familiarity with modern enterprise tech stacks and integration patterns relevant to data optimization and headless/composable commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain C-suite, practice leader, and key influencer relationships within GSIs to position CMRC (Feedo and BigCommerce) as a strategic, embedded technology partner in their data, AI, commerce, digital marketing, and digital transformation practices.
  • Joint Go-To-Market Strategy: Design and execute global and regional strategic business plans, including target industry verticals, co-selling motions, joint solutions, and practice development (e.g., embedding Feedo’s data capabilities into GSI data/AI practices and BigCommerce into commerce/digital experience offerings).
  • Pipeline & Revenue Generation: Drive “sell-with” and “sell-through” revenue by collaborating with GSI account teams to source net-new opportunities, support deal cycles, and expand existing engagements.
  • Partner Enablement & Delivery: Ensure GSI delivery teams, solution architects, consultants, and sales teams are trained, certified, and equipped to recommend, implement, and scale CMRC solutions. Invest in competency building, enablement, joint assets, and Centers of Excellence.
  • Team Leadership & Scaling: Manage and develop GSI Partner Managers; build out the alliances team with clear roles, processes, and KPIs; foster a high-performance culture focused on execution and results.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Partner internally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align offerings, resolve gaps, broker resources, and ensure seamless support for joint initiatives.
  • Governance & Operations: Establish joint business plans, KPIs, pipeline reviews, and governance cadences with GSIs; maintain strong operational hygiene and reporting.
