About The Position

Provide Maintenance support for aviation ground service equipment, fuel trucks, mechanical systems and facility support. This role involves repairing, overhauling, and performing maintenance on ground support equipment and machinery to ensure safety and operational readiness. It also includes ensuring compliance with safety standards, airport regulations, and OSHA/EPA rules. The position may also involve back-up duties for aircraft fueling and towing, training new employees, and coordinating contractor use for facility repairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of heavy mechanical experience with vehicles and other mechanical equipment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to work in a hangar environment.
  • Is a team player.
  • Strong Customer service skills.
  • Preventive maintenance practices and procedures as applied to electrical systems.
  • Methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of electrical circuits and related equipment.
  • Automotive servicing principles and practices.
  • Engine repair techniques.
  • Diagnostic devices utilized in identifying vehicle and/or equipment malfunctions.
  • Preventive maintenance practices.
  • Recordkeeping principles.
  • Computers and related software applications.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening test.
  • Clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Line Service Attendant is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, overhaul and perform troubleshooting, preventative and routine maintenance servicing of Line Service ground support equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure ground support equipment is maintained in a safe and operational condition.
  • Knowledge of all safety standards for working in and around aircraft and facilities.
  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety and care of all equipment and supplies assigned.
  • Liaise with Phillips 66 as needed for audit inspection and other purposes.
  • Proactively support the Line Service crew as a back-up team member as required by manpower and the needs of the business (fueling and towing of aircraft).
  • Comply with all airport authority rules and regulations including AOA operations and airport security requirements.
  • Train new Line Service employees how to properly inspect and safely operate all line service support equipment.
  • Maintain high level of safety and customer service.
  • Keep records of all facility maintenance performed.
  • Make recommendations to General Manager on mechanical systems scheduled services.
  • Coordinated the use of contractors for facility repairs as needed.
  • Inspect outside structures and systems such as lighting fixtures, pavement condition, security gates and fences, signs and utility services.
  • Make recommendations to General Manager as necessary.
  • Responsible for facility's safety compliance with OSHA regulations regarding mechanical systems.
  • Maintain and control disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with EPA rules and regulations.
  • Perform periodic checks of all equipment and facilities and document findings.
  • Welding and fabricating parts.
  • Safety inspections.
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment.
  • Installing, troubleshooting and repairing high voltage power distribution systems.
  • Performing maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
  • Monitoring compliance with applicable regulations related to Cutter Line Operations.
