Requirements

College, trade school or the military.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare inventory areas for counting by organizing stock and verifying item labels
Perform physical counts of inventory items in assigned locations within warehouses, stockrooms, or inventory areas
Accurately record quantities using inventory count sheets, handheld scanners, or inventory management systems.
Verify item descriptions, part numbers, and quantities during the counting process.
Identify and document damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory items.
Recount items and investigate discrepancies between physical counts and perpetual records.
Assist in reconciling inventory differences and reporting shortages or overages to supervisors or inventory control personnel.
Maintain organized and properly stored inventory throughout the counting process.
