The position is responsible for helping the service lines scale efficiently while maintaining domain expertise and market leadership. The Growth Director serves as the primary internal and external subject matter expert, helps cross-functional teams become self-sufficient, and makes autonomous judgment calls on initiatives within their remit. The role combines strategic analysis, operational execution, market-facing support, and end-to-end initiative leadership in a high-growth startup environment.

  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams to translate overarching strategy into executable, self-sufficient workflows.
  • Experience partnering with, educating, and supporting external benefits consultants, employer buyers, and clinical or business subject matter experts.
  • A track record of deploying complex growth and operational initiatives in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to new or challenging market edge cases and exercise sound, autonomous decision-making.
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize competing work, and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for collaborating across sales, operations, client success, data, and product teams to develop and complete projects and drive results.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of healthcare member journeys, provider operations, and payer or employer dynamics.
  • Experience at a healthcare or technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize growth, utilization, and profitability initiatives, and own day-to-day tactics, trade-offs, and decisions under the guidance of the General Manager.
  • Lead initiatives end to end and drive cross-functional teams to deliver results for the service line.
  • Maintain service-line-specific analyses and metrics that complement centralized cross-service-line reporting, generate actionable insights, surface trends and issues, and drive resolution.
  • Build scalable operational workflows and optimized clinical service pathways in partnership with Care and Product teams to shape the patient experience and drive utilization.
  • Partner with Sales, Account Management, Operations, Clinical, BI, and Technology Product teams to bring the service line to market, advise on opportunities, join client conversations as needed, build team enablement, and own customer-facing operational escalations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in client, consultant, and market-facing meetings, educating external partners—including benefits consultants and employer clinical experts—on Carrum’s care model and value proposition.
