The Emerging Markets team promotes growth in local economies by building meaningful partnerships with merchants across underdeveloped, high-opportunity markets. This role focuses on T4–T5 geographies, which represent a significant portion of remaining restaurant opportunities for DoorDash as it expands beyond core cities and suburbs. The team establishes initial connections with SMB restaurants and retailers, assisting them in growing and monetizing through on-demand delivery. This is a field sales opportunity requiring extensive travel within the region, and candidates should reside in or near a major airport. As a Growth Merchant Lead (GML), you will be instrumental in expanding DoorDash’s presence by opening new markets and onboarding new restaurant partners. You will manage a high-volume, in-person sales cycle, dedicating most of your time to developing Tier 4-5 (“emerging”) markets. This role demands significant travel (70%+) and is suited for individuals motivated by building new markets from scratch and directly influencing market growth. You will report to a Regional Sales Manager and collaborate with various cross-functional teams.
