About The Position

sundays is seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Growth Marketing Manager, New Client Acquisition to drive measurable new client growth and improve studio performance. This role focuses on turning local marketing efforts into booked appointments, with accountability for new client acquisition from strategy through execution. The ideal candidate will have experience growing a startup or scaling business, with a deep understanding of how clients choose a nail salon and what drives first-time bookings and repeat visits. The role involves owning the marketing system that drives new client growth by studio, utilizing channels such as Google Ads, paid search, local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, landing pages, local campaigns, referral programs, partnerships, and booking funnel improvements. The initial marketing budget is approximately $8,000, with the potential for adjustment based on performance. This position is crucial for sundays' growth, aiming to establish a disciplined, measurable, and location-specific approach to client acquisition to enhance visibility, drive demand, and clearly communicate the brand's unique value proposition.

Requirements

  • Hands-on growth marketer comfortable launching, managing, testing, and improving campaigns.
  • Proficient in Google Ads, GA4, Google Business Profile, Meta Ads, landing pages, UTM tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience growing a startup or scaling business, comfortable building while operating without a large team or fully developed playbook.
  • Ability to take ownership beyond a single marketing channel, identify growth opportunities, develop strategy, execute, measure results, and adjust quickly.
  • Experience growing booked appointments, reservations, visits, leads, or in-store traffic for a local service, restaurant, gym, wellness, beauty, hospitality, med spa, salon, fitness, or multi-location retail business.
  • Focus on new clients, CAC, conversion rate, repeat visits, package conversion, and revenue by channel.
  • Ability to look at weekly performance, spot patterns, diagnose issues, and recommend the next useful test.
  • Growth owner mentality, capable of moving across paid acquisition, local partnerships, offers, referral programs, landing pages, and conversion opportunities.
  • Experience using AI tools to speed up keyword research, local market analysis, ad testing, landing page iteration, campaign diagnostics, reporting summaries, and competitive research.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing agencies from a distance.
  • Experience primarily within highly resourced organizations where strategy and execution are handled by separate teams.
  • Experience focused on national brand awareness, e-commerce only, or top-of-funnel traffic without local conversion accountability.
  • Excitement for creative campaigns that cannot be tied back to bookings or business outcomes.
  • Preference for avoiding analytics or getting stuck waiting for perfect attribution before making decisions.
  • Desire for one campaign structure or one primary channel to work the same way across every location.

Responsibilities

  • Own qualified new client acquisition across sundays studio locations.
  • Manage and optimize Google Ads, paid search, local paid campaigns, and Meta Ads where relevant.
  • Improve local SEO and Google Business Profile visibility for each studio.
  • Build, test, and improve neighborhood-specific landing pages, offers, and booking paths.
  • Track new client bookings, CAC, website-to-booking conversion, revenue by channel, and performance by location.
  • Identify which neighborhoods, keywords, services, offers, partnerships, and campaigns bring in the strongest new clients.
  • Improve the booking funnel so more website visitors become first-time appointments.
  • Partner with the internal marketing team on local community, events, partnerships, and campaigns that support client acquisition.
  • Partner with the retention and email function to improve first-time client follow-up, second-visit conversion, and package or 3-pack conversion.
  • Use weekly performance data to recommend clear actions, not just report on what happened.
  • Support location-specific growth plans for new studios, slower periods, and underperforming locations.
  • Identify new growth opportunities beyond individual channels and take them from idea through execution and measurement.

Benefits

  • Base salary range: $90,000–$95,000
  • Performance bonus (new client growth is a major part of bonus consideration)
  • Health insurance options
  • PTO
  • Wellness perks
  • Product and service discounts
