Growth Marketing Engineer

Goodie AINew York, NY
$110,000 - $160,000Hybrid

About The Position

Goodie helps leading brands win AI search. As billions of people use ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other AI systems to discover products and make buying decisions, brands need a way to understand and influence how they're represented. Goodie gives teams a full AI control plane: real-time visibility into how AI models speak about their brand and products, how competitors show up, and an optimization engine to improve visibility and performance. This category didn't exist two years ago. We were early, and we're defining it. We're backed by strong investors, trusted by category-leading customers, and scaling fast. We're hiring curious, ambitious builders to help shape the future of AI search.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in growth, performance marketing, or hybrid marketing roles, ideally at an early-stage B2B SaaS company; clear track record of owning a growth number and hitting it
  • Hands-on technical comfort: you can set up tracking and attribution infrastructure, build and iterate on landing pages without waiting on engineering, and build your own data models without needing someone to create a dashboard for you
  • Deep SEO background with hands-on AEO or GEO experience, or a strong intuition for how AI models surface and cite brand content; experience running a structured experimentation program with clear hypotheses and documented learnings
  • Proven, daily use of AI tools across your own workflow, and experience or clear trajectory towards managing a team to clear KPIs
  • Exceptional storytelling ability: you can translate complex technology into compelling narratives for customers and the broader market

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an early or founding marketing hire at a high-growth startup
  • Direct expertise in AEO, GEO, SEO, or AI search marketing
  • Familiarity with Goodie's space: martech, SEO platforms, or AI-native products
  • Experience building or scaling a marketing function from an early foundation
  • Experience managing a team to clear KPIs
  • Prior experience in Sales or Business Development

Responsibilities

  • Define and own Goodie's brand narrative, positioning, and messaging across all audiences and channels
  • Own positioning and messaging for product launches and feature releases
  • Maintain competitive intelligence across the AEO, GEO, and broader AI search landscape
  • Own top-of-funnel and bottom-of-funnel metrics and report directly to the CEO
  • Own Goodie's AEO and SEO performance directly: we sell the platform, so we have to win at it ourselves
  • Plan and run paid campaigns with direct, hands-on involvement: write the briefs, analyze performance, iterate creative and messaging
  • Run a high-velocity experimentation program with clear hypotheses, real statistical rigor, and documented learnings
  • Build the measurement stack yourself: GA4, attribution modeling, leadership dashboards
  • Connect every marketing dollar to revenue with clear, defensible attribution
  • Live in the data: build your own models, identify the metrics that matter, and ruthlessly cut the ones that don't
  • Build automations, workflows, and internal tools that multiply marketing throughput
  • Use AI tools across the funnel: research, content, outreach, ops, reporting, and competitive intelligence
  • Treat the marketing function like a software product: ship, measure, iterate
  • Run the day-to-day relationship with the agency partner: set priorities, assign work, and hold the team accountable to KPIs
  • Coordinate across agency functions (paid media, AEO/SEO, content, creative) to ensure integrated campaign execution
  • Treat the agency as an extension of your team and execute alongside them, not above them
