About The Position

Dust is building the platform for AI operators – employees who build, deploy, and run AI agents within their companies. With high user engagement, Dust is experiencing rapid growth and serving notable customers like Datadog and 1Password. Backed by Sequoia and a team with experience from Stripe and OpenAI, Dust is focused on user impact, rapid shipping, and a positive team culture. This role is for a Growth Engineer who will focus on the technical systems that drive user acquisition, activation, and conversion, working at the intersection of engineering and go-to-market strategy. The role involves shipping directly on dust.tt, building analytics infrastructure, and creating internal tools, all while leveraging AI tools like Dust and Claude Code daily.

Requirements

  • Software engineer first with strong engineering fundamentals, ideally full-stack (TypeScript/React + backend).
  • Writes clean, production-grade code.
  • AI-pilled: a power user of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) and understands how AI changes possibilities.
  • Growth mindset with a genuine interest in growth, marketing funnels, and user acquisition.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics and tracking tools such as PostHog, GA4, Segment, Mixpanel, or similar.
  • Experience instrumenting events, debugging attribution, or building dashboards.
  • Autonomous and fast, thriving in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Ability to write specifications and ship solutions without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • 1-4 years of professional software engineering experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior growth engineering, marketing technology, or internal tools experience.
  • Background in SEO infrastructure, programmatic content, or developer marketing.
  • Familiarity with Stripe integrations, billing systems, or commerce flows.
  • Prior work at a high-growth startup, especially AI-native or developer tools.

Responsibilities

  • Ship directly on dust.tt, including landing pages, conversion flows, forms, and experiments with high velocity.
  • Implement and own end-to-end tracking across the growth funnel, including ad attribution, UTM parameters, gclid, cookie/browser tracking, and HubSpot integration.
  • Design and run rapid experiments such as A/B tests and new page/CTA implementations, using data to inform decisions.
  • Build high-leverage internal applications for Sales, Growth, and Marketing, such as signal-based notification systems, control towers, quote-to-cash automation between HubSpot and Stripe, and outbound tooling.
  • Create production-grade tools with real security, reliability, and autonomy that the GTM team relies on daily.
  • Leverage Dust's platform to build AI-powered agents and workflows to provide the go-to-market team with a competitive advantage.
  • Own the marketing and growth data stack, including event instrumentation, dashboard creation, and ensuring data cleanliness, reliability, and actionability across PostHog, Snowflake, and Metabase.
  • Partner with Growth Marketers to define metrics, track performance, and generate insights for campaign and funnel decisions.
  • Build and maintain integrations across the GTM stack, including CRM, CDP, ad platforms, and enrichment tools.
  • Serve as the technical backbone of the growth team, translating marketing requests into technical specifications and shipping solutions autonomously.
  • Collaborate closely with GTM Engineers on data architecture and with Growth Marketers on acquisition strategy.
  • Maintain a connection with Product Engineering to ensure code quality, security best practices, and architectural coherence.
