About The Position

The Growth team drives user and revenue growth across ChatGPT’s consumer and business segments as well as other OpenAI products worldwide. We operate across the full funnel - from awareness and acquisition through activation, retention, and expansion - using a combination of global performance marketing, AI-powered workflows, in-product optimization, insights, experimentation, and creative ops engineering. Our Product Growth (PG) team is a rapidly scaling functional area, accelerating growth by connecting out-of-product and in-product experiences into seamless journeys that acquire, retain, and re-engage users, unlocking ChatGPT’s transformative potential in users’ daily lives. We work cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, data science, finance, and marketing to unlock scalable growth levers and deliver measurable impact across diverse markets. This team thrives on rapid testing, rigorous measurement, and creative problem solving, all while keeping user value at the center of our decision-making. You will own the performance creative system that drives user growth across both in-product and out-of-product channels. This role turns business opportunities, product understanding, user insight, and data into scalable, AI-powered creative systems across paid media (social & search), lifecycle channels (email, push), in-product surfaces, and creator/influencer collaborations. You will lead the full creative growth loop, hypothesis - brief - execution - measurement - learning - iteration - while partnering with Product and Engineering to define and build the underlying systems (e.g. dynamic content generation, automated asset production, experimentation and optimization tooling) that enable speed, personalization, and scale. You’ll work closely with Brand to stay aligned on narrative and positioning, and with internal teams, agencies, and creators to scale what works without sacrificing quality or velocity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years owning growth outcomes in performance marketing, product-led growth, or growth strategy roles - with a track record of scaling what works (not just launching tests).
  • A strong creative and analytical hybrid: deep intuition for what performs across platforms and the rigor to turn that intuition into testable hypotheses and measurable learnings.
  • System-builder mindset: you’ve designed or materially upgraded a creative operating system
  • Expertise in performance creative craft across major channels (e.g., Meta/TikTok/YouTube/Reddit/Search) - hooks, formats, UGC/creator style, narrative structures, fatigue management, localization, and iteration strategy.
  • High fluency with measurement and experimentation: incrementality mindset, clean test design, interpreting mixed signals, and partnering effectively with DS
  • Ability to write briefs that produce great work: crisp problem framing, clear audience + insight, concrete creative directions, and unambiguous success metrics.
  • Experience scaling creator/influencer content for performance - sourcing strategy, creator management, paid amplification, iteration loops, and measurement that ties to growth outcomes.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration in a fast-moving product environment; strong judgment in balancing short-term performance wins with long-term capability building.

Responsibilities

  • Own the performance creative system end-to-end across paid, lifecycle, in-product, and creator/influencer channels - defining the operating model that connects strategy, production, experimentation, measurement, learning, iteration.
  • Set the creative growth strategy and testing roadmap by turning product priorities and business goals into sharp hypotheses, test plans, and creative frameworks that scale across audiences and markets.
  • Translate insights into high-quality briefs partnering with Product, Data Science, Media, and Marketing to convert user insight + product value + performance signals into clear direction for internal teams, agencies, and creators.
  • Build compounding learning loops: establish a system where results are captured, codified, shared, and reused (what worked, why, where it generalizes), and where learnings influence both creative output and product/roadmap decisions.
  • Partner with Product & Engineering to build the AI-powered creative system - shaping requirements and prioritization for AI-powered capabilities (dynamic content, automated asset generation, experimentation tooling, optimization systems, measurement instrumentation).
  • Raise creative velocity and signals without sacrificing quality: improve cycle time, creative coverage, and experiment quality (clean tests, consistent taxonomy, strong measurement) so decisions get faster and more reliable over time.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing: align stakeholders, drive decisions, unblock production, and ensure the creative pipeline stays healthy across product lines and launches in alignment with overall marketing messaging
  • Scale influencer-led performance creative - define how we brief, produce, iterate, and measure creator content as a performance lever
