About The Position

Compass Health Center provides crisis-level mental health care, filling a critical gap between outpatient and inpatient services. This role focuses on group-based programming for children and adolescents, utilizing evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. The facility in Oak Brook is modern and designed to be a therapeutic space for patients and employees.

Requirements

Passion for facilitating group therapy and working collaboratively.
Must be a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist.
Hold LSW (or LSW eligible), LPC (or LPC eligible), LCSW, LCPC, PsyD, or PhD.
Core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting.

Responsibilities

Developing and implementing DBT/CBT skill groups for patients aged 5-13.
Providing crisis intervention and staff support.
Developing and documenting treatment plans and weekly updates.
Co-facilitating creative expression and other experiential therapeutic groups.
Assisting program director in supporting families through phone coaching and follow-up calls.
Checking in with the treatment team about patient changes and progress.
Providing clinical observations and insights during interdisciplinary meetings.
Providing individual support to patients, as needed.
Providing support to other team members in various treatment groups.
Providing guidance and support for milieu staff during skills and executive functioning therapy activities/instruction.
Participating in discharge planning for patients.
Other duties, as assigned.
