About The Position

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Requirements

Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have at least 1 year of experience working at-risk youth
Supervisory experience is required
Be at least 21 years of age
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
Must meet requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having an active Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Providing direction and supervision to both staff and students.
Directly supervise Coach Counselors and Night Coach Counselors while being within the mix with them on the units, in Education, and anywhere else where there is ROP activity.
Exercise authority in ensuring staff and students adhere to the facility and daily schedules, including being on time and participation in all program elements required.
Work the same schedule as the Coach Counselors and effectively maintain the proper staff to student ratio for coverage.
Making critical and sound decisions during emergencies, including conducting group intervention crisis sessions and inform Unit Managers of concerns.
Be a role model for staff and students, leading by example and modeling ROP programming.
