Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience at a full-service property is required.
  • Experience selling in the Denver market is required.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors through various platforms, including phone and email.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in sales systems (Delphi), hotel PMS, and Microsoft Office is HIGHLY preferred.
  • Travel to industry-related trade shows and/or outside sales calls may be required.
  • Passion for lifestyle hospitality, innovation, sustainability, authentic guest experiences, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit, build, and strengthen relationships within market group sales seeking opportunities through various sales channels and working to build long-term value-based customer relationships.
  • Respond to RFPs, prepare proposals and upsell each business opportunity to maximize revenue potential.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations for conferences and events.
  • Conduct site tours for clients as needed and provide personalized service and support throughout the planning process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and anticipating their needs for future events.
  • Move throughout property to conduct site inspections.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.
  • Prepare weekly resumes and event orders to discuss with all departments to ensure the proper servicing of all groups.
  • Submit weekly activity report to leader on a timely basis.
  • Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.
  • Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.
  • Represent hotel at trade shows.
  • Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
