About The Position

NDM is a family-owned hospitality business that started in F&B and is now expanding into vacation rentals. We are creating a new sector in hospitality by creating identifiable brands with consistent accommodations, services and amenities within the vacation rental space. Imagine combining the comforts of a vacation home with the experience and consistency of a world class resort. This role involves proactively soliciting accounts within assigned markets, developing and executing Sales Action plans, and assisting the Director of Sales with projects and assigned accounts to maximize revenues. The Group Sales Manager will solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeated groups through various channels including social media, outside calls, and telemarketing. They will also define the company brand through events, ensure staff preparedness for events, and gain experience with Military voucher programs, family reunions, religious and sports group sales. The position requires the ability to travel and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, and to work cohesively with the Sales team, communicating new processes and keeping everyone informed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with clients.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have the ability to work cohesively with Sales team and communicate new processes and keep everyone informed and updated.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with sales software and systems Delphi is a plus.
  • Bilingual A plus!

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential group clients, including corporate entities, organizations, and social groups.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while also actively seeking out new leads.
  • Create and present compelling proposals and sales pitches to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favorable for both parties.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as event planning and catering, to fulfill client requests and ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel's group sales services.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Pro-actively solicit accounts within assigned market.
  • Able to travel & attend parties, trade shows, sales meetings and business meetings.
  • Develop and execute Sales Action plans.
  • Assist Director of Sales with projects and or assigned accounts to maximize revenues.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts.

  • Pay vendors for their participation in the event. Provide receipts if needed.
