About The Position

The Groups Sales Manager will be responsible for generating, developing, and managing group business across key segments including corporate meetings, retreats, weddings, and social events. This role involves cultivating long-term client relationships, driving revenue growth, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver seamless, memorable experiences aligned with Aman’s standards. The position is based out of an office in Sherman Oaks, California.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of luxury hotel or resort sales experience, with a focus on group business
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong existing relationships with corporate clients, planners, and industry partners
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
  • Proficiency in PMS systems, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of group travel trends, distribution channels, and platforms such as OPERA and Cvent
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed annual group revenue, room night, and ancillary targets
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with overall business goals
  • Identify and secure new group business through proactive outreach and presentations
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and financial estimates in accordance with brand standards
  • Maximize total revenue through thoughtful negotiation and strategic contracting
  • Cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients, planners, and industry partners
  • Proactively source new accounts and expand into emerging markets
  • Represent the resort at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings
  • Position Amangiri with authenticity, sophistication, and deep product knowledge
  • Maintain detailed and accurate account records, forecasts, and pipeline activity
  • Monitor performance and implement strategies to meet evolving targets
  • Prepare regular sales reports, performance analyses, and market insights
  • Support annual budgeting and strategic planning processes
  • Partner closely with Groups & Events, Operations, Marketing, and Revenue teams
  • Ensure smooth communication from initial inquiry through event execution
  • Align sales strategies with on-property experience delivery
  • Share market intelligence and trends with leadership
