About The Position

The Group Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategic development and lifecycle management of Consumer & Small Business non-interest-bearing deposit products. This role owns the product strategy & roadmap and helps the Bank's business segments drive revenue growth and client satisfaction by delivering compelling value propositions, launching innovative products, and optimizing existing offerings while ensuring competitive pricing, regulatory compliance, and robust risk mitigation. This role actively engages sales leadership across the Bank to identify product gaps and needs, provide product performance metrics, and maximize product adoption and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in banking product management
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in non-interest-bearing deposits.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading a product team
  • Proven track record of launching innovative products and driving revenue growth in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. banking regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with competing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience serving high-net-worth individuals and top-tier small businesses.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and digital product development.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the long-term product vision and roadmap, aligning with market trends, client needs, and CNB’s business strategy and sales goals.
  • Develop value propositions tailored to our client segments, ensuring differentiated experiences and retention.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle (ideation, development, launch, optimization) for new and enhanced deposit products.
  • Drive innovation initiatives by exploring partnerships, technology enhancements, and client feedback to address unmet needs.
  • Monitor competitor and market developments to identify opportunities for impactful solutions.
  • Track and share accountability with sales colleagues for the number of clients and volume of deposits in the product, as defined in annual business goals and new product business cases.
  • Track and share accountability with sales colleagues for a product’s contribution to net income.
  • Conduct primary research (interviews, surveys) to inform the product roadmap.
  • Conduct secondary research to understand what good looks like at other banks and fintechs in the market; track unmet market needs that can be met by the bank.
  • Meet regularly with vendors to understand current and new offerings available to the bank.
  • Attend meetings with potential fintech partners whose solutions the bank is exploring.
  • Proactively identify and assess risks in product development, pricing, and client onboarding.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard CNB’s reputation, clients, and assets.
  • Escalate and manage control issues transparently, ensuring accountability across teams.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, reduce operational complexity, and enhance efficiency across deposit product workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to U.S. banking regulations (FDIC, OCC, BSA/AML) and CNB’s internal policies.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes and implement corresponding product adjustments.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Service, Technology) and partners to drive product adoption and growth.
  • Supervise day-to-day product management activities, including client communication, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and results-driven execution.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and CNB executives.
