About The Position

Ford Credit is seeking a Group Product Manager for the Billing, Invoicing, and Statements Platform to lead the product strategy, roadmap execution, and cross-functional delivery for the critical billing and statements workstream, which is a cornerstone of our enterprise lending transformation and modernization program. The platform supports customer-facing and operational billing capabilities for Ford Credit and Ford Pro across online, print, and other critical servicing channels. This role is a Group Product Manager / LL6-level role, requiring enterprise-level ownership across multiple high-priority strategic programs, including the modernization of our core auto-lending platforms and the enablement of advanced commercial fleet invoicing. The Group Product Manager will operate with a high degree of autonomy, lead complex stakeholder alignment, influence core architectural and design decisions across engineering teams, and represent the Billing and Statements product organization in senior-level steering committees and executive forums. The ideal candidate combines strong enterprise platform product management experience, deep billing or financial services domain knowledge, technical fluency with microservices and data pipelines, and a proven ability to lead complex, highly regulated initiatives. This person must balance a seamless customer presentation and paperless experience with strict regulatory and compliance controls, engineering feasibility, and platform reuse.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Significant product management experience in billing, invoicing, financial statements, receivables, subscription management, banking, fintech, enterprise platforms, or highly regulated financial technology environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and deliver complex platform capabilities across multiple legacy and modern systems, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of billing cycles, invoice generation, statement distribution (digital/print), dynamic account summaries, fee calculations, or financial disclosure regulations.
  • Experience managing enterprise APIs, high-volume batch processing, document generation/rendering engines, or platform services.
  • Ability to define product strategy, MVP scope, roadmap priorities, requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong technical fluency with APIs, data schemas (XML, JSON), database architecture, system integrations, and production support concepts.
  • Experience working with engineering teams in Agile delivery models, including backlog management, prioritization, sprint planning, PI planning, and release readiness.
  • Ability to operate independently in highly ambiguous environments and drive alignment across product, engineering, architecture, business, compliance, legal, operations, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong risk management mindset, particularly around data privacy (PII), auditability, compliance with financial regulations, and automated operational controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leaders on complex billing rules, technical tradeoffs, and delivery risks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with consumer auto finance, lease/retail lending, commercial fleet billing, or banking statement requirements.
  • Familiarity with financial compliance standards such as Truth in Lending (TILA/Reg Z) or equivalent financial disclosure regulations.
  • Experience with billing/invoice engines (e.g., Zuora, Salesforce Billing, or custom-built enterprise billing engines).
  • Experience with enterprise document composition and print output software (e.g., OpenText Exstream, Quadient, or modern HTML-to-PDF rendering pipelines).
  • Experience supporting banking platforms, multi-entity ledger configurations, or bank-compliant statement generation.
  • Experience migrating legacy mainframe-based billing operations to modern cloud-based microservice architectures.
  • Experience with digital delivery channels (email, SMS, push, customer portals) and paperless enrollment optimization.
  • Experience with enterprise identity modernization, such as migration from legacy customer identifiers to enterprise party identifiers.
  • Experience leading executive-level escalations, scope tradeoff discussions, MVP boundary decisions, and cross-functional alignment for large strategic programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery outcomes for the Core Billing, Invoicing, and Statements Platform, including core billing engines, dynamic document rendering, statement distribution APIs, and preference management tools.
  • Define and maintain the billing and statements roadmap across Ford Credit initiatives, Ford Pro, the Ford Credit digital teams, Agent Servicing, downstream financial accounting systems, and external print vendors.
  • Translate complex business rules, modern lending platform capabilities, legacy system migrations, and technical requirements into clear product backlogs, MVP definitions, and execution plans.
  • Partner with peer teams to define invoicing MVP boundaries, supporting complex commercial fleet consolidated billing, account hierarchies and grouping structures, and custom billing templates.
  • Lead product definition for complex billing scenarios, including statement cycle logic, grace period calculations, dynamic fee and amortization displays, interest accrual presentation, late fee application rules, and billing correction/reversal flows.
  • Lead requirements for state-of-the-art document composition technologies, focusing on dynamic localized translations, ADA accessibility compliance (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), and print/digital layout consistency.
  • Define and prioritize billing control requirements, such as invoice validation runs, statement generation reconciliation, duplicate billing checks, out-of-balance processing holds, and secure audit logging for compliance.
  • Represent Billing and Statements in PI planning, QBRs, executive readouts, architecture reviews, and risk/compliance escalation discussions.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to ensure system designs are scalable, resilient, appropriately sequenced, and aligned to team capacity.
  • Identify and escalate risks related to billing accuracy, regulatory disclosure errors (e.g., Truth in Lending Act, Regulation Z, Regulation E), print vendor processing delays, and production readiness.
  • Define product success metrics and operational health indicators, including statement generation SLA adherence, paperless adoption rate, delivery failure rates, system latency for real-time document retrieval, and billing dispute trends.

Benefits

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more

  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
