Group Life Counselor IV
About The Position
Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Group Life Counselor IV for their Adult Treatment Center in Tacoma, WA. This inpatient rehabilitation center provides culturally sensitive chemical dependency services to high-risk patients, including chronic runaway youth and adults with a primary diagnosis of chemical dependency and potential co-occurring mental health issues. The role requires an individual of good character with the understanding, physical health, emotional stability, and personality suited to meet the needs of the adolescent population served. A mid-level understanding of direct service provision is expected. The Group Life Counselor IV is part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team and will provide direct services such as group care, intake procedures, evaluation, individual and group counseling, milieu management, and supervision of patients. Proficiency in these direct services is expected.
Requirements
- Must hold an Associate's degree or be enrolled in a program to complete in Psychology, Sociology and Human Services, Addictions or related field; Bachelors' preferred.
- Must be registered with DOH as a CDPT.
