About The Position

The Group Leader is responsible for setting goals for program participants, facilitating activities, and preparing curriculum and lesson plans. The group leader maintains a safe and learning environment for program participants. This role involves providing homework help, facilitating activities, and supervising children in programs outside of school day hours. The Group Leader will also assist tutors and activity specialists in managing and documenting behavior, maintaining supplies, and assisting with data collection and upkeep of participant documents. Attendance at all necessary program meetings is required. The position demands maintaining regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures, along with safe and successful performance, meeting productivity standards, displaying effective communication skills, and maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to all HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • 1 year of experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
  • Safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity standards.
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Displays effective communication skills.
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures including maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to all HIPAA guidelines at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Providing homework help, facilitating activities and supervising children in programs outside of school day hours.
  • Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
  • Assist tutors and activity specialist to manage and document behavior.
  • Maintain supplies.
  • Assist and maintain in data collection and upkeep of participants documents.
  • Attend all necessary program meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
