About The Position

The Group Leader - Manufacturing Engineering, Powertrain will provide leadership to a group of manufacturing engineers. This role is responsible for various tasks including facility equipment installations, process improvements, and model change activities. The position involves planning, scheduling, and organizing all project activities, interacting with other engineering departments to foster cooperation, and liaising with outside contractors and equipment manufacturers to find optimal solutions. The role also requires budget proposal and management, identifying training needs, and performing other duties as assigned by Section Management.

Requirements

  • BS Degree within Engineering, or related field, and relevant experience.
  • Above average communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate between multiple departments.
  • Attention to detail along with logical thought process for problem solving.
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications.
  • Proficient planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership within some capacity via current or previous role.
  • High level of technical expertise and familiarity with industrial machinery.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years' experience in manufacturing field with proven knowledge of equipment and process.
  • Previous experience within project management field.
  • Working knowledge of Powertrain shop equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership role to group of manufacturing engineers for various tasks from facility equipment installations to process improvements, including model change activities.
  • Plan, schedule and organize all project activities.
  • Interact with other engineering departments, supporting and developing cooperation between departments.
  • Meeting and interacting with outside contractors and equipment manufacturers to develop best solutions to current issues.
  • Ability to accurately propose budgets for projects, work within established budgets, and manage within guidelines.
  • Determine need for training and talent development.
  • Other duties as assigned by Section Management.
