Group Leader, Individual Family Flexibile Support Services
About The Position
Flexible Support Services is seeking a Youth Group Leader to provide creative and individualized services to youth (ages 6-22). We strive to mentor and support youth in developing increased independence, self-confidence, positive peer relationships, and to navigate conflict resolution. Youth Group Leaders will have an opportunity to plan and co-facilitate groups that focus on social and emotional skill building, community integration, psychoeducation and vocational preparation. We offer monthly clinical training, specific training in trauma informed care “Risking Connections' ' and a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate is a team player that is creative, organized, flexible, compassionate, and motivated to help youth meet their goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field from an accredited university/college
- 6 months experience working with children/adolescents/transition aged youth/families.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable vehicle and willingness to transport persons served.

Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic mentoring or group interventions to youth and families within the community.
- Provide and/or arrange transportation for clients to attend groups.
- Collaborate, as appropriate, with other providers and natural supports of youth and families
- Complete timely and accurate documentation to reflect services provided.
- Maintain group schedule as assigned.
- Build and adjust the schedule as necessary to meet the needs of the clients served. (afternoon/evening hours required)
