This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and development of children. Key duties include chaperoning, conducting developmental screenings and assessments, assisting in activity planning, and working directly with children to foster kindergarten readiness skills. The position also involves administrative tasks such as record-keeping and preparing reports, as well as substituting in program rooms and attending meetings. Additional responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality, participating in training, and assisting children with personal care needs. The role requires the ability to work independently, basic computer skills, and knowledge of various developmental service plans. The candidate must also be a mandated reporter of child abuse/neglect and adhere to program procedures.
