About The Position

This role involves supporting organizational and departmental projects, providing leadership, and overseeing the functioning of technical equipment. The Group Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating preventive maintenance schedules for technical facility and property infrastructure. They will prepare project documentation, supervise contractors, establish internal communication, and evaluate proposals. This position requires a strong understanding of facilities management, safety, engineering, and environmental regulations, as well as responsibility for facility security. The role also involves staying current with relevant laws and codes. Additionally, the Group Leader will manage disciplinary actions, act as a role model, prepare budgets, determine staffing needs, and oversee employee performance.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid passport or have the ability to obtain and pay for one.
  • Up to 30% travel throughout the United States, occasionally international travel.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Office suite and basic knowledge of CAD programs as an advantage.
  • Professional training with focus in team leadership or 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Cost aware, team-oriented, high resilience and able to work within timelines.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated.
  • Excellent time management skills required to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle contractors, team members and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction theory and practice.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance.
  • Technical skills including working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, reading and interpreting blueprints and site plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and demonstrated business expertise.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must comply with all safety and health standards established by Fronius USA, LLC and federal, state, or local requirements.
  • Ability to bend and reach with repetitive motion.
  • Hearing, naturally or with aids.
  • Vision 20/20, with or without correction.
  • Physical demands of the job include standing, use of hands to manipulate objects, talking, hearing, looking, typing, walking, twisting, and bending.

  • Employees will perform duties in an office environment and a field setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supports organizational/departmental projects and provides leadership.
  • Monitors the functioning of technical equipment and the set-up of defined maintenance schedules. In case of malfunctions, performs and/or coordinates repair activities.
  • Assumes responsibility for development, implementation, and coordination of preventive maintenance processes for technical facility and property infrastructure equipment.
  • Prepares scope of work, project plans, and other documents for contractor services.
  • Supervises and monitors contracted vendors’ work from inception to completion while establishing priorities and guidelines: planning, design, construction, management, billing, and inspection.
  • Sets up internal communication channels, timelines, and assignments as well as delegates responsibilities to colleagues pertaining to facilities management related topics.
  • Evaluates proposals from consultants, vendors, and contractors along with making recommendations.
  • Reviews all reports, shop drawings, and other project documents to monitor progress as well as identify problems and delays while recommending applicable next course of action.
  • Applies knowledge of facilities management and professional knowledge of safety, engineering, and environmental disciplines according to all regulations.
  • Responsible for facility, infrastructure, and property security as well as identifying issues, making recommendations, and executing approved solutions.
  • Continuously researches and complies with laws, regulations and standards pertaining to facility and building codes.
  • Takes responsibility for disciplinary action for all direct reports along with communicating said information to national management.
  • Acts as a role model for all Fronius USA, LLC employees with respect to work ethics, team support, distinctive communication skills and workplace standards.
  • Prepare budgets and monitors assigned cost centers.
  • Determines staffing needs in addition to requesting additional personnel, conducting interviews, negotiating offers, and supporting onboarding.
  • Monitors employee attendance, initiates salary adjustments, conducts annual appraisals, and participates in corrective action plans to improve employee performance when necessary.
