Group Home Manager
About The Position
The Residential team at Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QP) to lead a team of caregivers as the Residential Group Home Manager. This role involves supporting residents with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges in a group home setting. The Manager will provide supervision and oversight of services, participate in the development of structured care plans, and manage direct support staff. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, supervision, compliance, and ensuring quality services that promote the health, safety, and welfare of individuals. The Manager must also adhere to policies, manage attendance, and complete required training.
Requirements
- Qualified Mental Health Professional (QP)
- In-depth knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and techniques as well as their practical application in a group home setting.
- Ability to work independently.
- Adept at problem solving and de-escalation in times of crisis.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an approved accredited institution in a Human Services program.
- Meet the qualifications for a NC mental health qualified professional.
- A valid driver's license, a good driving record and current auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and oversight of services for the residents of the home.
- Participate in the provision and development of structured care plans to individuals.
- Hiring, training and development, supervision and monitoring of direct support staff.
- Ensure quality services that support individuals' health, safety, and welfare.
- Collaborate with families and external entities.
- Adhere to policies, manage attendance, and complete required training.
