About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Group Facilitator at its Fort Wayne, Indiana residential addiction treatment facility. The 100-bed campus provides medical detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation services. The facilitator works with therapists, nurses, nurse practitioners, behavioral health technicians, and other clinicians to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that supports clients in recovery.

The position is scheduled for first shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, five days per week, including every other weekend. Avenues describes its workplace as supportive and mission-driven, with opportunities for employees to grow and make a meaningful impact.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and observational skills.
• Strong clinical judgment and professionalism.
• Compassionate, ethical, and dependable, with a genuine passion for helping others.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Nice To Haves

• Current Indiana clinical license or addiction counseling credential preferred, such as CADAC I–V, LAC, LCAC, LMHC, or LMFT.
• One year of experience in substance use or behavioral health treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational, process, and therapeutic groups that support clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Help clients develop healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and the multidisciplinary treatment team to monitor client progress.
• Promptly communicate significant client concerns to the Clinical Director or appropriate clinical leadership.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for group sessions and client interactions.
• Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
