About The Position

The Group Exercise Instructor (GXI) leads members through pre-arranged group exercise formats designed to improve overall fitness, strength, and endurance while maintaining participant safety. The instructor also educates members about fitness and reports directly to the Regional Fitness Programming Manager. Actual duties may vary slightly. Before class, the instructor arrives 10 to 15 minutes early to interact with members, answer questions, learn about their fitness progress and capabilities, prepare appropriate music, and check equipment and microphones. After class, the instructor puts away music and the microphone, prepares the room for the next class, answers participants’ questions, and solicits feedback.
