About The Position

The Group Exercise Instructor—Les Mills safely leads members in a Les Mills International program, including at least one of BODYPUMP, LES MILLS CORE, RPM, BODYBALANCE, or BODYCOMBAT. Instructors learn current releases designed to enhance overall fitness, strength, and endurance, and serve as an education resource for members on fitness. Before class, the instructor arrives 10 minutes early to connect with participants, orient newcomers, and answer questions. They prepare the program track list, music, and choreography according to the specific Les Mills program, and confirm class and audio equipment are functioning. During class, the instructor introduces the format, checks in with first-time participants, gives clear verbal instruction, monitors form, offers variations for different fitness levels, and creates a motivational and enjoyable environment. After class, they restore the stereo and microphone, prepare the room for the next class, answer questions, and solicit feedback. Instructors ensure classes begin and end on time, follow facility closing procedures when teaching the last class of the day, and arrange a qualified, approved substitute if unable to teach a scheduled class. They maintain dependable schedules, attend required staff meetings, follow clock-in/out procedures, prepare incident or witness reports when needed, maintain a positive and professional attitude, and promote Gold’s Gym and GGX.
