Group EHS Manager
About The Position
The Group EHS Manager will lead the PSG safety program and drive a positive safety culture across 3 plants and multiple warehouses, with 2 indirect reports. This role requires approximately 25% travel. The manager will work with supervision to develop and implement Job Safety Analyses, coordinate annual noise level readings, and maintain compliance calendars. Responsibilities include managing employee injuries, illnesses, and the workers' compensation program, ensuring routine inspections of safety equipment, and maintaining logs of emergency response equipment. The role also involves performing field audits of personal protective equipment, assisting with health and safety data analysis for corporate review, conducting ergonomic assessments, and leading new employee safety orientations. Additionally, the manager will assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning, manage the department budget, and support plant financial objectives. The position requires conducting mandated employee training programs, assisting in the investigation of employee health and safety complaints, and aiding the engineering team with new manufacturing processes and construction activities. The role includes reviewing and approving sampling procedures and data, receiving and interpreting Industrial Hygiene results, managing HS records for proper access and retention, and overseeing the Lead compliance program.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred in Industrial Hygiene, Health Science, Industrial Safety or related field. Will also consider associate’s degree with 5 - 10 years directly related experience
- Prefer 5+ years industrial EHS Manager experience with multiple site responsibilities
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA/State Regulations
- Knowledge of proper protocol for exposure monitoring
- Proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, and Word)
Responsibilities

- Maintain and adhere to location compliance calendar
- Maintaining and ensuring compliance to web based EHS systems
- Manage employee injuries and illnesses and workers compensation program
- Ensure completion of routine inspections of safety equipment
- Inspect and maintain a log of all emergency response equipment and operational status
- Perform field audits of all personal protective equipment required
- Assist with reports and statistical analysis of Health and Safety data for corporate review
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and implement corrective measures to reduce ergonomic injuries
- Conduct new employee safety orientation
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning and execution
- Maintain and work within department budget
- Support plant financial objectives
- Conduct mandated employee environment, health and safety training programs
- Assist in the investigation of employee complaints related to health and safety
- Aid the engineering team for new manufacturing processes, construction, demolition and renovation activities
- Review and approve sampling procedures, records, and data prior to sample submittal
- Receive, approve, and interpret Industrial Hygiene results
- Managing HS records to ensure proper access and retention of HS records is maintained
- Oversee and manage Lead compliance program
