About The Position

This is a remote, managerial nursing role at DaVita focused on anemia and iron protocol management at local dialysis facilities. The Group Centralized Anemia Manager (GCAM) will oversee multiple facilities and their Centralized Anemia Manager teammates, ensuring high-quality patient care specific to anemia management. The role involves working directly with care teams, including Medical Directors, Nephrologists, and clinic staff, acting as a mentor, coach, and resource for anemia practice and initiatives. The GCAM will mentor new nurses on anemia management protocols to ensure the highest level of care is delivered. Facilities with a GCAM have shown higher protocol adherence and more timely dose adjustments. This role offers flexible hours and may require overnight travel.

Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years’ experience in Nursing
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where practicing
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook as well as functional proficiency with DaVita specific applications
  • The ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals and drive clinical outcomes
  • Registered Nurse with at least 12 months of specialized renal experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Centralized Anemia Managers (CAM) within your facility group.
  • Provide leadership and training to CAMs.
  • Implement new clinical protocols and anemia initiatives as approved by the Governing body and ordered by the physician(s).
  • Work with the National Anemia Team to evolve and implement the anemia model of care and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other leadership to align and prioritize anemia activities with Village and Group goals.
  • Address anemia-related issues within the Group.
  • Provide professional nursing care for ESKD patients specific to anemia management.
  • Act as a mentor, coach, and knowledgeable resource for questions or concerns on anemia practice and initiatives.
  • Mentor new Nurses on the basics of anemia management and anemia management protocols.
