About The Position

The Group Account Director is a leadership role responsible for leading and managing a group of client accounts and relationships, driving business growth, and fostering development and growth in their direct reports. This role requires a combination of leadership skills, strategic thinking, client management, and marketing expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) within a marketing or advertising agency or comparable experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, advertising strategies, and campaign management.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving performance.
  • Excellent client management skills, including the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue and growth targets.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project management, analytics, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client contacts, building strong and lasting relationships.
  • Understand clients' business objectives, industry trends, and market dynamics to provide strategic guidance and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop effective marketing and advertising strategies that align with their goals.
  • Lead and inspire a team of account directors, managers, coordinators, and cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Set clear performance goals, provide guidance, and offer constructive feedback to team members.
  • Ensure effective delegation of tasks, manage workloads and promote professional growth and development within the team.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and secure new business from prospective clients.
  • Develop and present compelling pitches and proposals to win new accounts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to leverage new opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, digital, and media, to develop integrated marketing and advertising strategies.
  • Provide strategic direction to ensure the successful execution of campaigns, meeting client objectives, and delivering exceptional results.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and provide insights to optimize strategies and improve ROI.
  • Oversee account budgets, ensuring profitability and adherence to financial targets.
  • Monitor and manage account financials, including revenue forecasting, billing, and invoicing.
  • Implement efficient processes to track and report on financial metrics and ensure accurate record-keeping.
