About The Position
At Moon Valley Nurseries, you will play a versatile role in supporting various aspects of nursery operations and customer service. Your responsibilities will include performing a range of tasks such as equipment maintenance, yard organization, and customer assistance. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the retail yard. The role involves performing manual labor to assist with the maintenance, storage, and fulfillment of customer orders in the landscaping nursery. This includes transporting and mixing soil, fertilizer, and other soil conditioning materials using hand tools, as well as digging, raking, and sifting soil to fill buckets and boxes for planting. The position is full-time and may be scheduled during weekdays and weekends, requiring open availability.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with operating power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the nursery yard to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive appearance.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on nursery equipment, including vehicles, forklifts, and hand tools.
- Assist with loading and unloading plants, trees, and other nursery products into a variety of vehicles.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks in yard such as, proper lifting techniques, operating equipment, handling merchandise, and ensuring a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
- Demonstrated availability to work any day of the week.
- Transport and mix soil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other soil conditioning materials using hand tools.
- Dig, rake, and sift soil to fill buckets and boxes for planting.
