About The Position
R. J. Corman Railroad Services is currently seeking a Groundsman/Laborer to join our team in Columbus, OH. This role involves performing laborer/groundsman duties, maintaining equipment, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. The position requires a commitment to safe working habits and the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Communication with the team and supervisor is essential throughout the job process.
Requirements
- Must pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity test.
- Mobility to participate in frequent travel and be on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies.
- Company-provided training to operate heavy equipment.
- On-the-job training provided.
- Requires lifting of up to 100 lbs. in the performance of duties.
- Frequent travel required.
- Must live within 45 minutes of the R. J. Corman shop.
- Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
- On-call 24/7 to respond to emergencies.
- Love working outside!
