Groundskeeping Associate-Casual
About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeping Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our outdoor spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, employees and visitors. Priority consideration will be given to applicants with backgrounds in skilled trades, manual labor, equipment operation, or other hands-on, physically active work environments. This is a casual position and is not benefit eligible. The schedule is Monday - Friday, with shifts from 4am-12:30pm OR 5am-1:30pm. Winter on-call availability for 24/7 response during snow events is required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age required.
- Ability to use a computer for processing work orders and e-mail required.
- Current valid motor vehicle operator license and ability to meet and maintain insurability required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with lawn services and arbor care to include demonstrated training in snow removal operations preferred.
- Knowledge of lawn irrigation systems and basic repair techniques of these systems preferred.
- Knowledge of basic auto repair and/or an ability to work sheet metal preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary grounds maintenance and upkeep in all seasons for all hospital campus grounds and parking areas in a manner that ensure a safe environment for all customers.
