Groundskeeper
About The Position
The Groundskeeper maintains and ensures the cleanliness of the property, including the grounds, common areas, and amenities. The role may assist the maintenance team with make-ready apartment turnovers and perform other duties as assigned. Weekend work may be required. The employee must follow company policies, including safety and Fair Housing policies. Work takes place indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions, with frequent exposure to outdoor weather. The role involves a range of physical activities, including walking, standing, sitting, stair climbing, lifting, and handling equipment or materials. The work environment may include occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and electrical shock risk; noise is usually moderate.
Requirements
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of groundskeeping experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and maintain community grounds.
- Clean office and amenity areas.
- Remove trash from common areas.
- Operate and maintain the trash compactor and its surrounding area.
- Clean exterior buildings and breezeways, including pressure washing.
- Perform minor maintenance, including changing light bulbs and maintaining the pool area.
- Assist the maintenance team with make-ready apartment turnovers.
- Follow company policies, including safety and Fair Housing policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
