Requirements

Able to do physical labor and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
Able to work with minimal supervision
Able to use hand and electrical tools associated with landscaping work in a safe and effective manner
Able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather
Regular attendance is essential for the successful candidate
Employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance

Responsibilities

Plants, waters, cultivates, fertilizes, and weeds gardens
Mows and weed eats lawn as needed
Applies pesticides and herbicides as directed
Digs ditches, holes, and trenches for planting, irrigation, electrical and plumbing needs
Cleans up trash on grounds and transfers trash and recycling from storage areas and cans to the dumpsters daily
Performs basic tree and shrub trimming as directed
Assists with or performs irrigation work as needed
Cares for and moves outdoor container plants as needed
Remain overnight in inclement weather as required to assist with the removal of ice from walkways and other work as required
Assist other departments with moving furniture, boxes, and equipment as requested
Other duties as assigned
